Achievement Bute offers a wide range of creative activities open to all children and young people on the Isle of Bute out of school hours and provides direct individualised support for children and young people with disabilities. Our aim is to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation of the children, young people and families that Achievement Bute seeks to support. We have a particular focus on enabling children and young people with disabilities to participate fully alongside their non-disabled peers in activities of their choice.
We currently have vacancies for two positions in our small team. We are seeking individuals who are welcoming, enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed to ensuring that ALL children can experience fun, interesting and worthwhile activities of their choice.
In all cases the positions constitute regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, these positions also require an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the position will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
All successful candidates will be entitled to the equivalent of 28-days/5.6 weeks’ paid annual leave per year. Achievement Bute offers staff the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) workplace pension scheme.
