Volunteers are an essential part of the Achievement Bute team, providing an invaluable resource to our support staff while exponentially enhancing the experiences of the children who attend our clubs and events. Find out more about our current volunteer opportunities below and, if you’re able to, why not pop along to our Open Afternoon on Thursday 5th March 2020 at The Bank, Rothesay (17 High Street).
Do you have a particular skill set that you’re willing to share with us? We’re currently on the look out for experienced volunteers who can assist us at our popular weekly Youth Club, which takes place on a Friday evening and is open to all secondary school aged young people. Whether you have previous experience working at similar clubs in the past, particular talents or training that you feel would benefit those in attendance or simply would like to donate some of your time to helping us supervise the club, we’d love to hear from you.
If you would like to get involved or even just find out a little bit more about volunteering, please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Fraser Lindsay. You can also download an electronic copy of our Adult Volunteer Form here to return via email.
We are always on the look out for outgoing individuals to join our dedicated team of young volunteers, in S3 and above!
The video below is a snapshot of the opportunities that were available for our young volunteers in the summer of 2018!
…and that was just during the school holidays! Outwith the summer there are weekly clubs, one-off events and activities, volunteer reward trips, pantomimes and so many other opportunities to get involved! All young volunteer hours are recorded and go towards the Scottish Government’s Saltire Awards initiative (a very handy certificate to have on your CV). Since 2016 our dedicated team have clocked up an incredible 10,522 hours worth of volunteering!
If you or someone you know (in S3 or above) would like to get involved or even just find out a little bit more about the volunteer programme, please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Fraser Lindsay.
