Peter Pan Community Panto

This year’s multi-media inter-generational Community Panto is Peter Pan, which will be performed in the Discovery Centre Cinema on 8th & 9th December 2023.

We are delighted to be once again working with Bute Theatre Co; Charlie Hindley of Bute Youth Theatre; Puppeteer Colleen Magennis; Film-maker Sean Catlin; and Designer Louise Johnson.

This year’s production is supported by Awards for All so it is FREE to take part. There are lots of ways for children and adults of all ages to get involved over the next few months: There are onstage and filmed acting roles for children, young people and adults. We also need help with the creation of props, costumes and set; a tech crew to work with lighting, sound, puppets, filming & animation, a backstage team to help with hair and make-up, and a “front of house” team to collect tickets and show people to their seats etc before each performance.

Children of primary school age who do not wish to act onstage in front of a live audience will have the opportunity to take part in some of the multi-media elements of the show which will be filmed during the first week of the October school holidays (9th-13th October).
