Family Support
Achievement Bute offers support for parents, carers, children and young people.
Achievement Bute provides support to children, young people, and their families in a number of different ways. Our Family Support Service, which is registered with the Care Inspectorate, is here to make sure that children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities can get the help they need to participate in activities of their choice.
We also want to make sure that whole families feel supported, so Achievement Bute also provides a free, Confidential Counselling Service for children with additional support needs and their parents/carers.

Direct individual support can be provided for children and young people who need a person to assist them to take part in a wide range of activities, including help with personal care.
Our support workers can accompany children at activities, clubs and events organised by Achievement Bute or at other leisure activities in the community such as swimming, sports clubs etc. We can also accompany individual children on trips to the cinema, or to trips to the mainland or we can look after children staying at home whilst a parent goes out.
Our staff all receive values-based induction and ongoing training, are first-aid qualified and passionate about what they do, so your child can have fun and you can take a rest, knowing that they’re happy and safe.

When you register with Achievement Bute, giving details of your child or young person’s additional support needs be sure to mention if your child has a specific disability/additional support/medical needs and if they have a Child’s Plan.
